About Me

My photo
Back to the beginning: Price and I met at YHS my freshman (his sophmore) year and dated for the next three years. After Price graduated, he joined the military and was stationed in Beautiful San Diego. Shortly after I graduated, we were married and had our 1st little man on the way: Preston Barrett Walling, born 2/2/07. We bought our 1st home in May 2009 and Little man #2, Ethan Jefferson Walling, followed on 7/29/09. As if life wasn't already crazy enough after that, we welcomed baby boy #3, Maverick Charles Walling on 11/20/2011 and our first girl (and Dog) Lucy in January 2012. We're still in San Diego, living one adventure after another!

To Make Me Happy

It has been a week of just Ethan and I, and occasionally I get a little (...ok a lot) lonely. Price has been gone a little over a month and Preston is in New York having the time of his life with the east coast family, and he won't be back for another week. So, because i can't have all three of my guys with me, I simply remember some of my favorite things, and then i don't feel so sad...maybe they can put a smile on your face to :)

..."I like it" by Enrique Iglesias; EVERY SINGLE time i hear this song, i turn it up full blast and dance like a teenage girl in the 80's who has had WAY too much caffeine!! I absolutely L O V E it!!!

...With much thanks to Ms. Nicole Chirolo, i have become a "GLEEK" and have very much enjoyed being in control of the remote the past few days

...My wedding ring; because diamonds really are a girls best friend, and it reminds me of how lucky i am to have what i have.

...Nail polish; the brighter the better

...Flowers; lilies are my favorite but i don't discriminate, they are all beautiful

...I love that GAP is using tattooed, rugged looking male models, it's a nice change from the skinny, super preppy, slightly feminine looking guys of the past

...CHOCOLATE; there really doesn't need to be an explanation, because really, who doesn't love chocolate???

...Red Bull; Yes, I am a Mom and Yes i do have a full time job, enough said

...Money; this may seem shallow, but i think money creates a feeling of security

...Sunsets; calming, peaceful and B-E-A-utiful!

...But nothing, I MEAN NOTHING can make me feel as happy as when i have these three handsome guys with me!! I miss you Price and Preston and can't wait for us all to be together again!

P2 Vacation (week 1)

Preston has been in New York (YES i said New York) for a week now and from the short conversations we've had and from all the pictures i've been sent, i'm a little worried he's not going to come home! My cousins (who are his age) came to visit him. So the clan has been to Midway Fair, where they rode rollar coasters and a train, they went to a childrens street fair whee they got to pet a small pony and have their faces painted, and he somehow convinced my grandma to get onto a teeter totter! Im also a little nervous that all this "country" living will stick with him when he retuns to the city. By this i mean the running around my grandparents property in just his underwear, peeing on all the trees, feeding his food to the animals (i think Ethan would fill the role of the animals at home) and playing in the creek. This basically sounds like a little boys dream vacation! Im's so lucky to have a family that spoils him this much and can put up with his craziness!! I love and miss them all, I wish i could have been there!

Ethans Photoshoot

It's true what they say about the 2nd child not having as many pictures taken of them as the 1st born. By the time Preston was 1, he must have had his picture professionally taken at least a half dozen times...and today was Ethans first solo "shoot"! There are not too many photos yet, but i plan to get my hands on a few more by the end of the week, so if that happens, i'll be sure to include a few extra. Despite a VERY dificult 45 minutes, the woman was able to get a few cute shots...enjoy!!

House (Before)

Your chin is about to drop, and you are about to start thinking "why would someone buy a place that looks like this??". Well, let me tell you why we did. When i was 7 months pregnant and we had been actively looking to buy a house for 6-7 months with no luck, i would freak out everytime i thought about 4 people living in a small 2 bedroom apartment with a ton of stuff. So, when this popped up on the radar in an area that was close by our apartment, in an older safe neighborhood, with the number of bedrooms and bathrooms we were looking for, within our price range, AND not a short sale or foreclosure, we said "SOLD" and ignored the MAJOR amount of work that was stareing us in the face. So now a little over a year later, millions of gallons of tears and sweat later, and minus a LOT of money...we have a nice house that works for us. Enjoy the photos, try not to cry or run out of the room screaming, and make sure to check out the next blog with more current photos of the progress. This is very much an ongoing project, so check back in regularly to see whats been done!
