About Me

My photo
Back to the beginning: Price and I met at YHS my freshman (his sophmore) year and dated for the next three years. After Price graduated, he joined the military and was stationed in Beautiful San Diego. Shortly after I graduated, we were married and had our 1st little man on the way: Preston Barrett Walling, born 2/2/07. We bought our 1st home in May 2009 and Little man #2, Ethan Jefferson Walling, followed on 7/29/09. As if life wasn't already crazy enough after that, we welcomed baby boy #3, Maverick Charles Walling on 11/20/2011 and our first girl (and Dog) Lucy in January 2012. We're still in San Diego, living one adventure after another!

Walling family update

I feel like I haven't posted any recent pictures or updates of my little brood, so here you are!

Preston is now 5 and WAY to smart for his own good. Each day when he comes home from school I am amazed at what he has to say. He can write and spell his name perfectly, knows all his shapes, colors and numbers and is learning colors and numbers in Spanish (he's almost got it). He "graduates" from preschool in June and will start kindergarten in august (don't get me started in the school process, you'll be reading this blog all day!) He's in the lying phase right now and has an opinion about everything which is pretty exhausting but makes for good stories later.

Ethan is 2 1/2 and so stinking cute (they all are)! His facial expressions CRACK me up! He's now in preschool with preston and loves, loves, loves it! I am so curious as to how I ended up with two boys with such opposite personalities. Preston needs constant stimulation and Ethan will sit by himself in a room for hours playing quietly with his trucks. It makes me very curious to see how Mav grows up. Ethan is officially fully potty trained during the day (yippee) and will make it through most nights without accidents. What a headache! I'm so glad to be past that!

Maverick is on the cusp of being 5 months old. It literally hurts to say that!! Where in the world has time gone? He's now eating cereal and I'm looking to invest in a Baby Brezza baby food maker so he can start on fruit and veggies. I say invest for a reason, this thing and the recipe book and all the Utensils are well over $120. But hopefully in the long run it is more cost efficient then buying baby food and is healthier as well. In March he rolled over for the first time, got his 1st tooth and ate solids for the first time. He had his 4 month check up this week and weighed in at 19.8 pounds! He is a BIG BOY! He's in the 97% tile across the board.

Price had been home now for 4 solid months and has tons of projects going! He "rescued" an engine from the junk yard that he wants to rebuild, his Uncle gave him a motorcycle that needs work, an he's installing our ceiling fans. I'm so proud of him for getting our living room fan installed last weekend. He installed a brace, wired power to that part of the ceiling and put the fan up.I honestly thought he was going to burn the house down or hurt himself, but NOPE! I then felt bad for having so little faith in him. Deepest apologizes babe! ;)

And, well me, I'm just trying to get into shape. I've been back to work since the beginning of march and still have not lost more than 2 pounds. I'm going to the gym almost everyday an am eating 75% better than I was before. I feel like I can't diet too much or push myself too hard because I'm still nursing and don't want to give that up yet. I did my first 5k last month and have another one in 2 weeks. After that I'm going to start on 10k's and work up to a 1/2 marathon and maybe a full marathon depending on how bad the 1/2 is. Other than trying to motivate myself to eat better and work out more, not too much else is different with me.

I need to start updating on our lives more often so I don't have these big long posts. Promise....

XOXO Brogan Lee

  1. Fun fact: You can get a $40 food processor at wherever (Sur La Tab, Target, etc) and that works pretty much exactly the same as that baby food maker thing! Love ya
