About Me

My photo
Back to the beginning: Price and I met at YHS my freshman (his sophmore) year and dated for the next three years. After Price graduated, he joined the military and was stationed in Beautiful San Diego. Shortly after I graduated, we were married and had our 1st little man on the way: Preston Barrett Walling, born 2/2/07. We bought our 1st home in May 2009 and Little man #2, Ethan Jefferson Walling, followed on 7/29/09. As if life wasn't already crazy enough after that, we welcomed baby boy #3, Maverick Charles Walling on 11/20/2011 and our first girl (and Dog) Lucy in January 2012. We're still in San Diego, living one adventure after another!

Food Experiment (week 4)

My mom (who recently moved in with us) left for Costa Rica for 6 weeks. With just myself and two very picky boys in the house, i have not been very good about trying new meals. ALSO, i will be going back on a diet starting Nov 15th...so all this yummy food...yeah, it's gonna stop :( :( i'm soooo very sad! But unfortunatly this food is much to blame for the weight gain, (and the halloween candy...and laziness). I have very little self control when it comes to food :( BUT, i was able to get two new, and very easy meals out last week...

#1 - - Veggie Pizza

(Please ignore the VERY used baking sheet, i think it has been in our family since i was born :) )

SOOOO Simple
1st. Spread a store bought pizza crust out on a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes.
2nd. Put about 1 1/2 cups Alfredo sauce in a skillet and add a ton of garlic, salt and pepper
3rd. Spread alfredo sauce on top of crust after baking it
4th. Top with lots of monterey jack or mozzarella cheese
5th. Cover with favorite toppings, i used: fresh basil leaves, greek olives, onion, artichoke hearts, and tomato
Final step. Bake about 15 minutes or until every thing looks melted and slightly browned...ENJOY!!

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

#2 - - Veggie Panini (notice a trend ;) )

For this i was able to use everything i had from the veggie pizza plus a little extra and it took all of about 5 minutes to out together and was DELICOUS!

1st. Cut a hunk off a loaf of focaccia bread, slice in half
2nd. Spread a little pesto, mayo and some shredded monterey jack cheese on each half of the bread
3rd. Place a few slices of thin sliced turkey on one half
4th. Now pile with your favorite sandwich toppings. I used: pepperchinie, greek olives, artichoke hearts, onion and avocado
5th. Now, i don't have a panini press so i used my WONDERFUL George Foreman grill, (this machine really is fantastic) left it closed for about 6-8 minutes and BAMM! "Dinner is Served" ENJOY!!

Lots of Love and Bunches of Hugs
XOXO Brogan Lee
