Wednesday night at about 11pm i picked Price up from the airport. He was comming home for a 4 day weekend for Veterans day. Because of how late we got home, we didn't bother waking the kids up to say hello. So, in the morning when Preston came into our room and saw that Daddy was home...HE FLIPPED!! Preston was so happy that he ran and woke Ethan up and all my boys pow-wowed in our bed. I think every 5 minutes from Thursday to Sunday, i would hear Preston telling Price, "Daddy i'm so happy you're home, i love you so much!" It was really sweet :)
Price is trying to keep this mustache, thing, growing until he finishes school and for some reason i thought it would be HILARIOUS if i gave the boys a little lip decoration to match their daddy...
Preston loved his mustache SOOO much that he fought with me when i tried to clean it off. He wanted to be just like his dad.
There is a dirty and delicious, little restaurant on the end of the Imperial Beach pier that serves HUGE $12.00 burgers and 32 oz beers. We went there for lunch on thursday and enjoyed a little deep fried heaven. Preston, Ethan and I shared some french fries and a grilled cheese sandwhich...really i ate it all though :) In the restaurant, there were pigeons guarding the trash cans...it was pretty gross but it was entertaining to watch them fight over the scraps people threw in there.
As always, I was pretty annoying with all the picture taking, and i think Price had enough because he tried to block every single picture i tried to take of him. I can't help it that i think he is soo good looking and i want to document every minute he is home. Amongst all my failed attempts at getting a pic of him, there was one that had his face in it...so BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Taking pictures of the kids was no difficult task...they are like me and love to ham it up!
Ethan was so happy...i don't think i've ever seem him NOT crying for such a long period of time...i thank the pigeon fights for that.
When the lunch was gone, their reward was a little soda, and they REALLY wanted it!
Unfortunatly, the camera and all four of us could not cooperate at the same time so i was not able to get a picure of all four of us, BUT i did get a pretty cute one of the guys...
Saturday we went to see MegaMind. Preston was an ANGEL but Ethan only made it about 1/2 of the way through the movie before he wanted to get up and walk around, so he and i spend the last hour in the lobby playing around.
When Price and Preston finished the movie, they came out and joined us. All three boys got down on a little video game action...
If only Preston was a little taller...he probably would have had much more fun.
Sunday morning rolled around and @ 5:30 am we had to pile in the car and take Price back to the airport :( (tear) We were all sad, and from then on, ever 5 minutes i heard this from Preston..." Mommy I miss Daddy SSOOOO much, I want Santa to come so Daddy can come back" Aw, it broke my heart.
Only four more weeks and Price will come back home, this time he'll get to stay for an entire 2 weeks!!! Yahoo!!
Lots of Love and Bunches of Hugs,
Brogan Lee
With Price being stationed in San Diego and all but a few family members & friends in other parts of the country, it only made sense to start a blog! Preston and Ethan never seize to amaze me and I love sharing stories with everyone who can't experience the adventure first hand. I hope you enjoy the drama that is The Walling Family!
About Me
- wallingfamily
- Back to the beginning: Price and I met at YHS my freshman (his sophmore) year and dated for the next three years. After Price graduated, he joined the military and was stationed in Beautiful San Diego. Shortly after I graduated, we were married and had our 1st little man on the way: Preston Barrett Walling, born 2/2/07. We bought our 1st home in May 2009 and Little man #2, Ethan Jefferson Walling, followed on 7/29/09. As if life wasn't already crazy enough after that, we welcomed baby boy #3, Maverick Charles Walling on 11/20/2011 and our first girl (and Dog) Lucy in January 2012. We're still in San Diego, living one adventure after another!
